Old Bike Barn sponsors bike show, music stage at 2019 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Fall Bike Night
Sept. 27 public event also features exhibitions, vendors, free admission to museum
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — Old Bike Barn will sponsor the bike show and the music stage at 2019 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Fall Bike Night, 5-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the American Motorcyclist Association campus.
Everyone is invited to Bike Night, which includes free admission to the Hall of Fame museum, a bike show, exhibitions, live music, vendors and more.
“We are extremely happy to have Old Bike Barn sponsor the stage and the bike show this fall,” said AMA Recreational Riding Manager Heather Wilson. “Bear Haughton consistently shows his support for the AMA, for the Hall of Fame and for vintage motorcycles and riders.”
Playing live on the Old Bike Barn Stage will be two acts. Steven Fox & The Whiskey Sneaks perform classic and outlaw country music. And Lindsay Jordan sings upbeat melodies and anthems that portray life in Appalachia and her West Virginia roots.
The Old Bike Barn AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Bike Show features three classes: Classic for motorcycles 25 years old or older; Custom for those with modifications to performance or visuals that alter it from its original appearance or intended purpose; and Current, for 1995 and newer models.
The bike show is ride-in only. Trailered motorcycles are not eligible and no trailer parking is available. Entry is a $5 donation to the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation.
There is no pre-event registration. Registration is from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 27. Judging is 7-7:45 p.m. Awards announcements are 8-8:30 p.m.
National pro trials rider Sam Fastle will be demonstrating his motorcycle mastery at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Beverages from North High Brewing will be available for purchase, as well as meals and snacks from various food trucks.
In addition to dozens of motorcycles on the upper floor commemorating inductees, the Hall of Fame museum currently features the exhibit “Six Days – U.S. International Six Days Enduro Teams and the Chase for the World Trophy,” celebrating the history of U.S. competition at the FIM ISDE, capped by the 2016 title in the FIM World Trophy division. The display includes the four bikes ridden by the 2016 ISDE champions, along with Kurt Caselli’s 2013 ISDE bike, Hall of Fame Legend Dick Burleson’s Husqvarna and Hall of Famer Jeff Fredette’s Kawasaki.
All proceeds from Bike Night benefit the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. The AMA established the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1998 to honor the legends and heroes of American motorcycling and highlight their achievements and contributions to motorcycling.
