AMA Member Benefits
Your Freedom to Ride Protected: By joining the AMA, you are taking an active role in fighting against anti-motorcycling forces that threaten our freedom to ride. Check out the AMA Action Center online where you can find legislative report portals at all levels of government to review, make an informed decision and then take action all in one place. Read our position statements, subscribe to action alerts, review our legislative scorecard and then join in the discussion on our social media sites.
Roadside Assistance: AMA members can access a range of roadside assistance benefits. Whether you need coverage for just your bikes, cars and trucks, or even RVs, there is an option for you. Services include towing, lock-out, dead battery, flat tire and fluid delivery. (Please note that additional services and coverage may require an additional fee.)
American Motorcyclist Magazine: AMA members receive a monthly printed magazine, American Motorcyclist. Beginning with the November 2020 issue, the AMA communicates with members through a single version of the magazine, as it has done for much of its history, rather than the previous separate “Street and Recreation” and “Competition and Off-Road” editions. In addition to the printed magazine, a digital version of each issue, including recent back issues, remains available online in the “Members Only” magazine archive section of americanmotorcyclist.com.
The Best in Racing: AMA-sanctioned amateur events are the only guaranteed path from local racing to the professional ranks. Our racing members have access to the AMA Racing Center, low-cost rider accidental medical insurance and compete with standards that maintain consistency in rulemaking, advancement, appeals, class structure and recognition.
More than 1,200 AMA Clubs: Connect with riders in your area through 1,200 AMA-chartered clubs around the country. Check out our list of clubs in your area or learn how to start an AMA Chartered Club of your own.
Members-Only Discounts on Parts, Gear and Accessories: Enjoy incredible savings on motorcycle parts, accessories, hotel rooms, bike and car rentals, and much more from retailers such as CycleTrader, Dowco Powersports, Cardo Systems, EagleRider and many others. View a full list of AMA Member Benefit Partners.
Members-Only Online Access: Enjoy exclusive access to our online Members-Only area where you can find the latest AMA and motorcycle industry news, search for and sell motorcycles through our free classified ads, and read gear reviews.
*About AMA Automatic Renewal Program: With our automatic membership renewal program, we notify you 30 days before your membership expires by email. We will renew your AMA membership using the credit card information you last provided us. Payment by credit card and email address are required. Please note that some AMA member benefits may be contingent on participation in the AMA Automatic Renewal Program and that members must maintain a valid credit card and email address on file with the AMA to remain eligible for these benefits.
† Associate, Youth and non-primary Family members do not earn years toward Charter Life designation.
