Vance & Hines NHRA Drag Racing Team Honors Veterans

In the wake of Veterans Day, the Vance & Hines NHRA Drag Racing team — including riders Angelle Sampey, Andrew Hines and Eddie Kraweic — rolled out an inspiring new paint scheme on their drag racing bikes this past weekend to honor veterans and those currently serving in the U.S. Military.

The new design features a stunning take on the American flag’s stars and stripes, and also featured the logos of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy. These logos also are the main centerpiece of the new Military Power Series product line from Vance & Hines.

“[I’m] honored to get to pay homage to the men and women who have served our country with this weekend’s VO2 Military Power Series livery,” Angelle Sampey said on social media.

Sampey put on a stellar performance throughout the NHRA Series and ended the season as runner-up in the series after being defeated by Matt Smith in last Sunday’s quarterfinals.

“I’ve been incredibly blessed to have the season that I’ve had,” Sampey said, “and can’t think my team enough for all of their hard work! We were so close to that championship…until next time.”

Company founder Terry Vance echoed Sampey’s vet-focused appreciation. “We wanted to honor those who’ve served,” he told American Motorcyclist, “and it’s been gratifying to see the response we’ve received from motorcycle vets all around the country.”
