COLUMBUS, Ohio — AIMExpo presented by Nationwide returned to the Greater Columbus Convention Center on Thursday for a four-day run, bringing together retailers, manufacturers and powersports dealers to showcase new products.
The show is open to the general public on Saturday and Sunday.
The American International Motorcycle Expo this year includes contingents from China, Taiwan, Italy and other countries, as well as a heavier emphasis on electric vehicles—especially electric bicycles—than ever before.
Here is a look at a few of the products on display at the show.
CKX is marketing its cold-weather, DOT-certified snowmobile helmets for use by motorcyclists, as well. The brand’s new air management system helps reduce face shield fog, and an optional heated face shield sheds freezing rain and show. The base model runs $420, while the carbon fiber model with the heated shield will set you back $650.
LaShundra Rucker, owner of SportBike Chic, models her patented tank purse. The bag attaches with magnets to a motorcycle’s fuel tank while riding. Then it transforms into a stylish purse with a long shoulder strap. Get one for $99.
The Quin Design smart helmets contain chips that detect a crash and can notify loved ones or emergency crews with the touch of a button. The helmets also have traditional BlueTooth capabilities. Depending on the options you choose, a Quin will set you back $300 to $640.

Take a ride on an electric motorcycle while a bike helmet from Sean plays a description of the product for you. E-bikes from Cake, Yamaha, Specialized, Quiet Kat and Orbit City Bikes are available on the closed course.
The Ubco 2X2 is a utilitarian electric motorcycle for riding trails or doing chores. The bike has a 75-mile range and a top speed of 30 mph.
