‘Long Way Up’ motorcycle travel series starts Sept. 18 on Apple TV+
Do you remember the 2004 motorcycle travel documentary “Long Way Round” that followed actors Ewan McGregor of Star Wars fame and Charley Boorman on an 19,000-mile trek riding adventure-tourers from London to New York City?
That was actually a British television series. Now, a new series featuring the two actors/motorcyclists called “Long Way Up” will kick off Sept. 18 on Apple TV+, an on-demand subscription streaming television service launched by Apple in 2019.
The new “Long Way Up” follows best friends McGregor and Boorman on a motorcycle adventure through 13 countries on a track that takes more than 100 days and covers some 13,000 miles. Riding electric Harley-Davidson motorcycles, they start their journey in the city of Ushuaia at the tip of South America. They journey through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Central America and Mexico.
Apple TV+ says the first three episodes of “Long Way Up” will premiere globally on September 18 and new episodes will roll out weekly.
