This 900cc twin celebrates AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Ekins, who was a top desert racer and Triumph’s largest dealer in the 1960s, based in Sherman Oaks, Calif. He was one of the first Americans to compete in the World Championship Motocross Grand Prix circuit in Europe during the 1950s. Ekins also earned gold medals in the ISDT (now International Six Day Enduro).

Apparently there really was a Sleepy Hallow bridge that author Washington Irving made famous in the story The Legend of Sleepy Hallow 200 years ago. In the well-known tale, Ichabod Crane, fleeing a horseman with a pumpkin head, rode his horse, Gunpowder, across the wooden bridge at quite a clip.
