Miller keeps riding, training through pandemic

Hare and hound competitor, organizer keeping busy

Jeff Miller, a 2019 AMA Hare and Hound National Championship class champion is ready to get back to racing, as soon as the coronavirus restrictions are lifted.

Miller had hoped to qualify for a spot on a U.S. ISDE club team competing at the 2020 FIM International Six Days Enduro in Rivanazzano Terme, Italy. But due to the coronavirus pandemic raging through that country, the FIM announced on March 28 that the 2020 ISDE was postponed for a year.

So, Miller is bicycling near his home in Nampa, Idaho, to stay in shape. He hopes racing in the U.S. will return by August so he can take part in several desert races in Nevada.

The 2017 and 2019 AMA National Hare and Hound Super Senior Class title holder also continues to operate his trucking company. And he is busy as ever keeping up with his clients’ shipping needs.

He and his wife are helping family members as much as possible during these unprecedented times, and Miller’s wife is using her quilting skills to sew face masks. So far, she’s made about 25 masks for friends and family to use.
