Mission Foods AMA Flat Track Grand Championship Pre-Registration Now Open
PICKERINGTON, Ohio (April 18, 2022) — Pre-registration for the 2022 Mission Foods AMA Flat Track Grand Championship (FTGC) — the national championship event for the most American of motorsports — is now open.
The event runs July 7-13 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin, Ill. Racers looking forward to banging bars and powersliding their way to victory at the AMA FTGC can pre-register at https://secure.tracksideprereg.com/ftgc/.
“The Mission AMA Flat Track Grand Championship offers seven days of the best amateur flat track action in the country,” said AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant. “We hope racers take full advantage of the discounted rate offered with pre-registration, which also saves time checking in at the track.”
Those who register early can save money, with fees at $80 per class for the AMA FTGC and $50 per class for the Vintage rounds. Gate entry fees are $15 per day or $75 for the entire week.

The Mission Foods AMA FTGC has served as the premier amateur flat track event since the mid-1970s and is the only race in the country where you can earn an AMA National No. 1 plate in amateur flat track racing. This year the event will feature AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer and On Any Sunday star David Aldana as the Grand Marshal. Aldana plans to strap on his own steel shoe to race the Du Quoin Mile, which will be his first time racing a mile since his On Any Sunday days.
Along with racing on the world-famous Magic Mile, the event will also include short-track, half-mile and TT competition for plenty of bar-banging action throughout the week.
Special awards that will be presented at the end of the event program include the prestigious Nicky Hayden AMA Flat Track Horizon Award, AMA Fast Brain Award, AMA Vet/Senior Racer of the Year and AMA Youth Racer of the Year.
